Music for Canadians

A half hour of orchestra and song, made for the country coming home

The sponsored music half hour was the workhorse of Canadian radio: an orchestra, a vocalist, an announcer with a warm register and a client whose name went on the title. What makes this run worth keeping is when it falls — Armistice Day 1945, the first Christmas of the peace, the January after. Listen to the running order and the demobilisation is audible in it.
