This upload contains 381 episodes of the Old Time Radio show, Guest Star. Presented by the United States Treasury Department and carried as a public service message by the stations that aired the show, Guest Star was essentially a 15-minute infomercial for United States Savings Bonds. The show generally consisted of one big name guest star from stage, screen, music or radio, with musical numbers and a skit that helped extol the virtues of putting your money in US Savings Bonds. The show aired from 1947 until the early 1970s. The dates, episode numbers and titles are believed to be correct based on available information, but any corrections are welcome. Disclaimer: By uploading these files, I make no claim to ownership or copyright. These recordings have been acquired from publicly available sources on the Internet, and my goal has been to put together a collection of every available episode where possible. I will add to these collections if I discover new episodes or if any new episodes become available. Additionally, while I tried to put together a collection that contains the best version of each episode that I could, there may be better copies of some recordings available from c

The shape of the run

Every dated survivor plotted against the years the series was on the air. The gaps are the lost broadcasts.

The shape of the run

What survives, year by year

72 dated broadcasts across 14 years on the air, with 1 year where nothing is known to survive. Brightness is transfer quality; empty cells are months lost to time.
