Written and directed by Wyllis Cooper, the creator of Lights Out, Quiet, Please ran from 1947 to 1949 on Mutual and then ABC. Ernest Chappell narrated nearly every episode in a confiding first-person voice, and the series is remembered as one of radio's most literate excursions into the strange.
