(66 Episodes) "The Adventures of Maisie (aka Maisie)" was a radio comedy series starring Ann Sothern, as under-employed entertainer Maisie Ravier and a spin-off of Sothern's successful 1939-1947 Maisie movie series. It is this OTR program which popularized the 1940s catch phrase "Liiiikewiiise, I'm suuuuurrrre." Sponsored by Eversharp, the first series ran on CBS from July 5, 1945 to March 28, 1947, airing on Thursdays at 8:30pm during the first two months, then moving to Wednesdays at 9:30pm (1945-46), then Fridays at 10:30pm (1946-47). From 1949 to 1952, Maisie was in syndication with Pat McGeehan as Eddie Jordan. From 1952-01-11 thru 1953-12-26, Maidie aired on MBS. Bea Benaderet (Kate/Mom on Petticoat Junction) and Elvira Allman portrayed Mrs. Kennedy. * Supporting Cast: Hy Averback, Arthur Q. Digitised by the Old Time Radio Researchers and streamed from the Internet Archive item “AdventuresOfMaisie”; these recordings are in the public domain.
